Being natural allies, Türkiye and TRNC have the potential for cooperation in energy, tourism, construction, education, and many other sectors The friendly relations between Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) are interwoven with historical, cultural and economic bonds. Having strengthened over the years, these bonds laid the foundation for strategic cooperation between Türkiye and TRNC. Being natural allies, Türkiye and TRNC have the potential for cooperation in energy, tourism, construction, education, and many other sectors. This cooperation supports the economic growth of both countries and strengthens regional stability. DEIK/Türkiye-TRNC Business Council endeavours to strengthen and maintain this strategic cooperation. Since its establishment in 1992, the Business Council has focussed on improving economic relations between Türkiye and TRNC, bringing together business actors and increasing trade. For this purpose, we actively work together with our counterpart organisation to organise fruitful events, mutual delegation visits, business council meetings, and bilateral meetings. Diaspora activities are another element of great importance for Türkiye and the TRNC. These activities bring opportunities to represent the Turkish business world in a wider space as well as increase the influence of the Turkish lobby in the international arena. The DTİK 10th Kurultai is also a significant step towards achieving these goals. The congress opens the door to new business opportunities and projects by bringing together the Turkish and TRNC business world, scholars, artists, and athletes. As DEİK/Türkiye-TRNC Business Council, we will keep maintaining economic and diaspora activities between the two countries for the strong representation and development of the Turkish world.
