As DEİK, we are working hard to deepen the economic cooperation between the two countries
Relations between Türkiye and Albania are characterized by historical and cultural ties and geographical proximity. Albania stands out as an important growing market in the Balkans, targeting EU membership. It offers significant investment opportunities for Turkish companies in many sectors such as energy, construction, tourism, agriculture, and health. Türkiye is a leading country in exports to Albania. In the period August 2023-July 2024, Türkiye’s exports to Albania amounted to 895 million dollars and imports to 58 million dollars. The foreign trade surplus was 837 million dollars and the trade volume was 953 million dollars.
While iron and steel, machinery, energy, electrical appliances, and plastics stand out in Türkiye’s exports; iron and steel, machinery, energy, electrical appliances, and plastics sectors stand out inTürkiye’s exports to Albania. As DEİK/Türkiye-Albania Business Council, we organize business council meetings, forums, and trade delegations to make the best use of this potential. Albania’s reforms to improve the investment climate give confidence to Turkish companies.
Especially renewable energy resources and a young population offer attractive opportunities for the service sector. As DEİK, we aim to increase the trade volume between Türkiye and Albania, encourage mutual investments, and further strengthen cooperation between the two countries. We believe that Albania has the potential to become one of Türkiye’s most important trade partners in the Balkans. As DEİK, we will continue to work with all our partners to realize this potential.
