Approximately, 60 billion dollars of Japan’s imports of over 900 billion dollars are food products. Imports of fishery and animal products are 12 billion dollars. Japan is the largest importer country in the world in the fishery and animal products sector and is one of the target markets of our country. Türkiye has the potential to export much more to Japan with its high quality production capacity and export experience. Our exports will increase exponentially as soon as the Economic Partnership Agreement, which is currently being negotiated between Türkiye and Japan, comes into force and taxes are zeroed.
